NBC WPMI 15 HD LIL HD
0800-0900 - Severe pixilization (about 5 times) and a few instances of problems switching from the commercials in SD to the HD broadcast (screen flashing and a grey screen for a few seconds). When I switched to the SD LIL channel there wasn't a broadcast issue. When I switched back to HD channel, it was fixed.

Thanks for the work on adding the LIL HD channels!
I have seen the same thing on channel 15. About every 4 minutes, there is severe pixilation and then it returns to normal. My transponder signals are 95 and 98 so it is not a satellite signal problem.
I seen audio problem(repeating sound) and frozen video for a few seconds on today 9/19 CBS 5(6pm - 6:30) and on NBC 15(6:30-7pm). It happens every few minutes.
Well, I see HD on 5(CBS) and 15(NBC), with the occasional moments of funky pixelization and out-of-synch sound, but mostly fine.

However, all the supposedly-HD stuff I glanced at on 3(ABC) and 10(FOX) isn't.
Are those 2 showing any supposedly-HD stuff that's actually-HD?

3 and 10 are showing HD, but often the guide is wrong and it is listing some syndicated shows as being in HD when they are not. Actual ABC and FOX network programming is in HD.

Make sure that you have selected "Hide SD Duplicates" in the setup menu (under display) to be certain that you are watching WEARDT and not WEARTV, WALADT and not WALATV.
9/21/09 6pm - 7:15 pm NBC 15 is getting pixelation during Football Night in America.

This is also happening during Sunday Night Football 7:15-10:30pm.

It doesn't appear to happen a set time interval.

Channel 15, NBC, WPMI-DT (Mobile/Pensacola)

Audio out of synch during local newscast between 5:00 and 5:30 PM. Then audio in-synch during network news (5:30 and 6:00 PM) but frequent video breakups (pixelation, stuttering, etc.)

This has been a fairly consistent pattern since the advent of this station on DirecTV.
WPMI-DT channel 15
Tonight Show
1130-1230

Severe pixilization across bottom third of screen and audio dropouts.
Had pixelation occassionally during Heroes. It would only last a few seconds but would happen approximately every 15 minutes or so.

NBC
7:00-10:00 CST
For those of you experiencing pixalization and audio probems with NBC 15 via Directv. These problems also occur on NBC 15 signals received OTA and have for months. All other Mobile/Pensacola stations are fine most of the time via both sat and OTA. I suspect the troubles with channel 15 originate with technical problems at the NBC station and not with Directv.

I am experiencing the pixelation on all HD locals.
It is not a continuous problem...but does show itself more on NBC than the other channels.
I have noted signal issues with NBC 15 since HD locals came on-line. Severe pixelation and stuttering. During the 2 hour premier of Heros it occurred approximately every 7 minutes. Have since seen it with Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Chuck. I must note that this was on two seperate HR20s.

I sent an email to DirecTV requesting that they QA the reception and transmission. What a mistake. Needless to say they wanted me to reboot the receiver.

I next sent an email to the engineering department at NBC 15. The response was that it was more than likely an issue with the DirecTV reception (I assume it is currently via antenna.) The chief engineer then stated that they were working on getting a direct connect via fiber and that this should resolve any issues.
10/12/08 NBC 15 Sunday Night Football 7:15-10:30pm.

It doesn't appear to happen a set time interval, yet my $30 indoor amplified antenna that is diplexed and split over multiple recievers is doing very well without breakups. The only time I watch NBC is for Sunday Night Football and I am disappointed every week with the BRRRRP effect, pixelation, and picture freezes every 10 min or so.
Though pixilation is still a problem that pops up ever so often, I did want to take the time to say I am very HAPPY that we finally did get HD for our locals.

Thanks to any DirectTV employees that take the time to read this.
Can anyone tell me which satellite and spotbeam transponder these channels are on? Also, does anyone have a spotbeam map for this area so I can see how far it reaches? Thanks.
10/16/08 NBC WPMI 15 Entertainment Tonight 6:30-7:00 pm.

Pixelation a few times during the show.

Side note, I'm glad too we get the big 4 networks. Tonight on CBS WKRG 5 Survivor went without pixelation.
Beginning this morning, 10-31-08, all four of my satellite provided local HD networks are pixilating constantly. Both audio and video are continuosly breaking up. OTA locals and all other satellite HD channels are fine. Just wondering if this is MY system or a widespread problem affecting all Mobile/Pensacola subscribers.
It's now 9:30 a.m. and the problem is gone. Must have been "technical difficulties" somewhere in the system. Maybe Holloween gremlins...
11/09/08 NBC WPMI 15 Football night in America 6pm - 7:15

Pixelation, Freezes, BRRRRP every 10 min or so.
