I'm starting to get very frustrated with DirecTV.
I can put up with bugs with the HR20 because I'm seeing progress each week with the new software.
I'm not seeing much progress with the video and audio problems with my Local HD channels broadcast via the new MPEG 4 system.
WOIO the CBS in Cleveland has a very noticeable audio warble. It's been there for two months and has actually gotten worse in the past week.
WEWS the ABC in Cleveland has a horrible video freeze problem. The video freezes and jumps. Normally it does this only on programs that have been recorded or on programs that are being watched on delay because you had paused the show. Yesterday during the OSU game It was doing it occasionally during the live broadcast.
I realize that the HR20 is new and the MPEG 4 is new, but I'd also expect to see DirecTV fix these issues. I've called and e-mailed. I've also called and e-mailed the local channels.
I see DirecTV adding more HD locals. You'd think they'd get the ones already being broadcast fixed before adding more markets.
