Any word if trutv will have a HD broadcast for the NCAA march madness games? Thanks

P.S I'm new to DBS so any tips...thanks.
I'm pretty sure they did it last year so I would think that they'll be doing it again.

I'm not sure why DirecTV doesn't just offer it in HD all the time. If they can offer it in HD part of the time, they can do it all the time. I mean they already offer the channel, I wouldn't think it would be that difficult just to offer it in a higher resolution. Operation Repo is starting to look strange now that it moved to HD.

It's not that simple. Offering a channel in HD for a limited time is nowhere near the same as offering that channel in HD permanently.

MArch Madness games are only on TruTV for six days over two weekends and at a time when there is nothing to show in the space normally used for ESPN Full Court or ESPN Game Plan. If they need to cut out a PPV movie channel during those games, they can do that, too. Reducing other programming options for six days is one thing, but they are not going to do that year round.

I hope they don't offer TruTV HD full time. That channel is a waste of bandwidth. Just offer the HD feeds of the games like last year.

A channel that's rated in the top 20 primetime rankings isn't a waste of bandwidth; it's a much needed HD addition.

Source? I don't know how anyone can watch that fake reality programming they have on the channel. It's so obvious most of it is fake. Enough already.

Wow. That surprises me. Seems some people are easily amused and extremely gullible.
Reality shows boost ratings big for some channels...look at History Channel. TruTV does seem to have the most fake "reality" shows. World's Dumbest is a great show, IMO.

Hello Satracer, can you or anyone provide any info about possible new features regarding March Madness, is Directv doing any enhancement coverage that we can look forward to? Thanks
The Feb/March '12 Inside DirecTV (customer newsletter that comes in your monthly paper bill) says there will be interactive brackets on channel 701, and a game mix on channel 600.

What is a monthly paper bill?

But thanks for the info!
