Newbie user here ... I have Dish 500+ with 110/118.7/119. For getting HD in California, I assume I will have to add a 4th LNBF for 129. Is that correct?

Correct. There is a bolt-on bracket for the PLUS dish that allows you to add a second DP Dual LNB. You must also have a DPP44 switch. All this stuff should be free when you upgrade to HD.
