HD signal via DNS

My son lives in a place where there is NO TV signal at all (Yellowstone National Park). He subscribes to the DirecTV HD service and qualifies for DNS, but doesn't get HD service from his NY and LA stations. Should he be getting networks in HD? Does he need to call to activate them. I believe he's getting other HD channels from DirecTV.

he needs to call and apply
And then he'll only get the LA HD versions.

He's lucky to live there... I love that place. Was there earlier this year, and the bears sure are out this year. Saw 5 in one day...

The other thing I noticed that I thought was funny, most of the buildings where I stayed in Canyon Village that were inhabited by workers had Dish Network sats on them... Glad to see it isn't as one sided as it appeared! :D
