Just wanted to get this going as I saw it was one of the updates rolling with the new 0x10B software. Anyone have things working better with the new update - I see a lot of posts with Samsung having trouble connecting HDMI's. Thanks in advance for your posts!

I use to have issues with HDMI while in Native mode. It is now fixed in 0x10B.

I'm now at 10B and still no problems at all with HDMI. There were no problems at FA level either (none zilch -- I view in HDMI all the time).

Excellent! We need to hear from some Samsung users as well seeing as they have more issues from what I have read. Thanks greatly for your input though!!:D The more we get, the better they can help us!

I noticed Earl set up new HDMI thread so please post there: HDMI - 0x10B

I'm connected via component right now. If I connect HDMI do I need to disconnect the component connections or does the TV and HD DVR know enough to use HDMI first if connected and then component next?

I have both HDMI and compoment hooked up. Both are working fine. Every so often I do a PQ comparison and I really cannot tell the difference.

How can you tell which is being used?

I'm the same, both connected, and I can't tell any difference picture wise, but there is considerable difference in the HDMI audio.

have both the component and HDMI connected to the Samsung 4273 (looking at the difference between the two) No problem at all. PQ actually appears a bit clearer. OTA works well, same channles recieved as the H20 (well maybe one remote channel less), records both satillite and OTA. So far it seems like 10 is working pretty good for me. Now if I could only get them to increase the list of av1 component codes. still no listing for Rotel stereo to untilize the volume controls on the remote.

Now to look into trying to setup the networking capabilities

Same setup here. It appears that HDMI audio is better quality.

I have a Samsung HLN567W with a DVI connection. (Had to buy a HDMI to DVI connector for the HR20) Picture is great. I run the sound from the HR20 to my surround sound with a digital audio cable. With the new update I couldn’t be happier.

I have a new 46" Samsung LCD. I just picked up the HR20 today and it has the latest software downloaded. I cannot get the HDMI to work (only use for video, audio goes directly to the surround sound receiver). The HDMI worked fine on the HR10 it replaced.

Any suggestions or do I need to use component until another fix comes along?

UPDATE: I put the Native setting to "On" and low and behold, HDMI began working.

I just got and connected my Samsung 46" LCD tonight. It is connected via HDMI. No problems, though I thought the picture would look crisper. The ESPNHD channel had two basketball games on tonight and the pic looked kinda grainy to me.

Also could not get any of the remote codes to work with the TV.
