I have Hd receiver VIP211 and have only one HDMI output and two tv's to connect,i got a cheap two way HDMI spliter, i have good picture but no sound,
anybody knows why i don't have sound with the spliter connected but good sound with each HDMI connected individually.is this because it's a cheap HDMI spliter or so.

I've not been able to get a splitter to work, but only HDMI switches.

monoprice.com has a "powered" HDMI splitter that people claim works great.

You will not have good (or often any) results with an unpowered/passive HDMI splitter. What you need is an active/powered splitter that is actually more of a repeater (like a LAN hub). They cost more, but the advantage is that they actually work.
