HDNet Fights and M-1 announce deal to televise the M-1 Challenge on HDNet
HDNet Fights will air the World Cup of Mixed Martial Arts - The M-1 Challenge on HDNet beginning Friday, September 19 at 8 p.m. ET. HDNet will then air subsequent matches in the 2008 round robin tournament every Friday at 8 p.m.
The Challenge will consist of ten teams representing eight different countries including, France, Holland, South Korea and two teams from Russia. Each team is made up of five MMA fighters - one from each weight class.
Each nation vs. nation match-up will be a one-hour program and HDNet will air twenty one-hour programs from the round robin competition.
"HDNet Fights Presents: The M-1 Challenge" will air on HDNet on Friday, Sept 19 at 8 p.m. ET. Subsequent matches in the tournament will air every Friday on HDNet at 8 p.m. ET.
