Well the head of GM was on Neil Cavuto's show tonight. He was of coursed asked about DirectTV/Hughes. He was firm in the believe that E* would cough up the 600mil and the 2.7bil without any argument. He said they are of course agressively persuing the merger. When asked if Murdoch was in the picture, he says no we are persuing the merger with Echostar, we are not talking to Murdoch.
Ok Neil asked what if the merger does not go through, will you talk to Murdoch? We are persuing all avenues to get this merger approved, but if we do not we will explore all options.
What about keeping Hughes and waiting for the price to go up? We are exploring all options.
