I've just joined this wonderful site. Been watching you all banter back and forth for about six months and decided it was finally time for me to get involved. So....being new on here, I'd appreciate it if you guys would take it easy on me for at least a week or so.

I've been a Directv sub since 2000...well...except for that little excursion I took with VOOM for about a year. You guys remember VOOM? I LOVED IT!!! I've been an HD freak since they first hit the market. I won't say how much I paid for my first dog-gone Samsung DLP. But, when I discovered VOOM it was all worth it.....I was in LOVE!! That is, until they went belly up and merged with DISH. VOOM was just waaay ahead of it's time. And not enough HD owners to keep it afloat at the time. :nono:

So, after my VOOM experience in 2004, I came back to Directv in '05. Been here ever since. And I can honestly say that Directv has the most awesome Customer Service Reps I have seen in a while. THAT is what keeps them on top!

Anyway....blah, blah, blah....talking your ears off. I just wanted to say hello and that I look forward to some wonderful conversation in the future.

Welcome to DBStalk as an official poster. I remember Voom, my brother had it and used the old receiver for OTA TV, after they folded. It had one of the best HD pictures, but a lot of home brewed channels that were very repetitive. And I didn't by a DLP, but lets just say that I an buy several flat screen TV's, with the money I spent for my first 50" Panasonic plasma.
