I recently moved to literally the middle of nowhere. I called DTV to change my service address and to get local channels. Well no local channels are available, I would have the option to get DNS services from NY or LA or both...but a waiver is required from the local TV stations...well again, I am in the middle of nowhere, who would get the waiver???

How can I speed up this process? They told me a waiver would take 2 weeks to be processed, but I want to start watching the fall shows now... no joke, there are no TV stations in my area, heck I can't get radio stations! Please let me know if there is someone I can call to speed this up. Thanks in advance.

Go to tvfool.com...and post your results.

We may be able to offer some OTA suggestions, until/if you get DNS.

Nothing like waiting until the last second.

Could you share a zip code with us? Just because you toss up an antenna and don't get anything doesn't mean that you aren't claimed by some station(s).

Can't argue with the middle of no where part. ;)

Here's the results from TVFool on just the zip provided (Both digital and analog):

Unfortunately I don't know of any way to speed up the process; when I first moved into our new place we have the same issue with a couple of the networks.

It's actually quite nice here in Rosebud county. I get a kick out of the name, expect to run into Larry, Daryl and Daryl HaHa!

So looking at your report, exactly what channels should I get OTA. Sorry, not sure how to read the results...maybe I'm one of the Daryls!

Which channels will get the waiver request from DTV? This could take a while...

Good Luck. I would need an antenna on top of a cell tower to pick up CBS, but the "local" station denied me DNS. NBC and ABC are still pending.

The odd thing is that neighbors all around me have SD locals over the sat. (LIL), but Directv says no signal here. The receiver says there is a strong signal here.

It's just totally messed up. As I said before, I could just "move" 10 miles up the road and get them, but with my luck, I'd need a tech out as soon as I "moved"... :nono:

Other than channel 3 (which is horrible), there are no results for you to read. ;)

But, then again, what was posted, was for your zip code. Not, a specific address. In an area with extreme variation in elevation, this can greatly impact the report generated.
