Help - Issue with H25-100 and Vizio TV

2450 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  hdtvfan0001
I have a Vizio E390VL LCD being fed an HDMI signal from a Directv H25-100 receiver. This is an HDMI signal that's split between an LG 32" LCD in the bedroom where the receiver is and the Vizio mounted on the other side of a wall (frame and brick). The issue is when I turn on the LG and Directv receiver in the bedroom the TV outside goes on (and when the LG and DTV are turned off the TV outside goes off). No windows, just a solid brick wall.
Ideas? Wondering whether either the vizio or DTV has an auto on where its getting an on/off signal thru the HDMI cable.
I am controlling the receiver from outside with a Hotlink XL IR extender. Only thing outside is the eye, all emitters are inside.

Have you tried re-programming the remote for the Vizio set to the base code for Vizio from scratch?

In addition, you could also try this with the LG.

The odds of the 2 sets sharing the same code are small...unless...you are using the default settings on both remotes.

I have the very same setup - an H25-100 and HDMI connection (w/another model of Vizio) - and programmed it using the Vizio code...but don't see that problem.

Make sure all of the CEC settings are turned off. this can be found on page 30 of your manual located here:

Good post.

Forgot about that setting myself...even though I had done it too. Explains why I never saw any issues.
