I did something STUPID and now my remote doesn't work.. I can control the volume and that is it. No channels, no number keys...nada. I have an HR20-700.

You can reset the remote to its factory settings by:
1) Press and hold MUTE and SELECT until the LED flashes twice
2) enter 9 8 1 (the LED should flash a number of times)

Then you can reprogram the remote.

I don't remember it (even tho I have used it several times lately); I just remember that it exists and look it up. (Today I used the online manuals at directv.com.)
