I've tried everything to get the dish remote to do everything as a universal remote but cant seem to get it to wrong. Right now my dish remote can only do the dvr and up and down for channels. I read the manual up and down already.

Anyone got the cliff notes on how to get my remote to control my new Hitachi tv? In the manual its says hold the mode key but there isnt one on the remote?:nono2:

The 4 buttons on top are the mode buttons. You have one for Sat. one for TV. One for VCR. One for AUX. When programing you TV the instrution say to hold the mode button for 4 sec. that meen for you to hold the TV button at the top of your remote..
