I live in the Louisville, KY area, and upon using the RSN locator on D*s page, I see that I am supposed to get FSN Cincinnati, FSN Midwest, and FSN South. I've always been able to receive Reds broadcasts on FSN Cincinnati with no problems. However, anytime the Cardinals or Braves are on FSN Midwest or FSN South, the game is blacked out. I reset my box, as well as did the programming reset on Direct's site with no avail. Any ideas?

also check to see if either an other rsn, your locals, or a national channel are airing the games. if multiple channels are running them, only one will have license to show them in a set zip code.

I had the Premiere package at one time but dropped it. However, I went back and picked up the sports pack immediately. I still get all the FSN networks and can watch them when a game isn't on (and can watch FSN Cincinnati when the Reds are on). I also checked and can confirm that the Braves and Cardinals didn't have games on other channels.

Are you considered in the broadcast area of the Braves and Cardinals? I don't see why you would get Braves games in Kentucky because Georgia is a pretty good ways from kentucky. Also Directv does at times make mistakes with what channels you are allowed to receive sports wise. Last hockey season early on I was told that I was supposed to receive prime Ticket, which is funny because I live in Buffalo, which when last I checked is nowhere near California.

Thanks for the obvious answer there. But just because a team isn't exactly listed on the channels I receive, doesn't mean I shouldn't get that team's broadcast right? I thought if the channel itself was considered an RSN, you received the broadcasts of any team that appeared on that network. I may be wrong, and I'm willing to admit that, but if so, please show me the evidence to support or deny what I'm saying. Thanks :)

No, you're incorrect in your assumption. It's all if the RSN claims you are in it's "home market" along with the teams in question.

For example in my market, in between Chicago and Detroit, FSN Detroit is my primary RSN and thus I get everything on FSN Detroit.

However, the Chicago Bulls and CSN Chicago also claim my zip code thus I also get Bulls games (like I would want them) with no blackouts on CSN Chicago. I also noticed that Blackhawk games come in with no blackouts on CSN Chicago but they aren't in the database, most likely because they only just started actually broadcasting home games middle of last season.
But any other pro sports on CSN Chicago I do not get, blacked out.

Also in the past just my base package I get FSN Detroit but I would need to have sports pack or premier to get CSN Chicago. But starting last year that changed to now I get CSN Chicago in my base package as well (just the teams listed of course as above).

Understood. Thanks for the response! I was wrong! Maybe they will add other teams in the future (wishful thinking).
