If you KNOW you've got a huge storm coming at you, the best way to ensure that you don't have dish problems or damage is to remove the 4 bolts that hold the reflector on and store the reflector in the house. That's 80+% of the wind load gone. When the storm passes, bolt the reflector back on and you'll be good to go. No waiting for a realignment, and no leaky roofs from wind damage.

You're lucky. I was getting frequent 771s on HD channels and several total blackouts from 2:00 until 5:30 in Eastern PA.
About the same here too in Philly. Kind of frustrating while trying to watch the Penn State game. I guess I should start looking into a decent OTA antenna.

I just got home but pretty much most of the HD's have 771s but once in a while they come through but so far the SD channels i have checked have not gone. As long as its gone by 1pm tomorrow for my steelers i'm ok with only having the SD channels.

I got my old 18 inch dish on standby:D in case my slimline goes out of line
i can get 101 only but its better than nothing
Me too! That's why I never took down the old dish. I have my old Philips DTivo hooked up to it. I was able to watch the rest of the Penn State game that way.

My HD channels came back about 2 rounds into the begining of Boxing After Dark on HBO. Which was great because Boxing is so much better in HD. hannah is still over CT I guess but the worst is over and there isn't much left which is great. Brought much needed rain and hopefully not much damage has been left.

We lost the HD channels periodically when Hannah came through last night. We switched to the SD equivalent, which stayed up except for a few short outages.

Is D* ever going to take away the SD equivalents? Because if we have to depend on the HD feed for the only feed, that would not be good.
