Hopper video artifact.

I was watching Dallas and I about jumped out of chair to choke my children when I saw what appeared to be a cracked screen "chip" in the lower left part of the screen.

After changing inputs I was able to verify that it is an artifact that the hopper is showing at all times.

I have a fan blowing air off of the device at all times.

I was able to make it go away by zooming the screen a few times.

Me things there is a heat issue, or I have some bad vram on the video card.

Ideas?

Reset the unit and it will disappear. It's the remnant of the on screen cursor. It still occurs every once in a while if the cursor moves to a certain position.
If you change the settings to no onscreen visible cursor you won't see that happen again.

If you dont want to reset the unit (scheduled recordings). Go to the settings menu where you can adjust the screen for your tv and zoom the screen in an out until the artifact is removed.
I assisted another customer with the same issue here http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=205882. This is being caused by the cursor. The settings can be changed to make the cursor invisible which will clear the issue.

Press Menu > Settings > Guide Settings > Cursor. Then change the setting to invisible and select save. Please let me know if the issue persists.
