How Do I Supress "Get the Most Out of HD" Popup?

I have a HD receiver that is currently being used as a source for some SD recording that I am doing out the S-video output. I am using this so I can archive some TV shows in SD for later viewing on my iPod.

Everything works great EXCEPT that once in a while I will have a recording where the H21 has put a "Get the Most Out of HD" popup window on the screen to convince me to change the resolution (which I don't want to do - because I actually know what I am doing). That basically means that I have a recording that is ruined, because that pop-up is obscuring part of the recording.

Is there any way I can suppress those pop-up messages?

If changing the resolution stops the pop-up, go for it. It will not affect the S-video output.
Ya, change the resolution to the best your tv can accomidate.
The popup will never appear again.

The svideo jack (and yellow composite jack as well) only outputs 480i, meaning it DOWN CONVERTS the program, no matter what higher resolution it might be.

I have the same setup on one of my TVs and it works perfectly. You just have to convince the receiver that you are watching HD (such as on the component cables) by setting the output resolution to 720p/1080i and even if the cables are not connected the receiver will not know the difference, so will stop giving you the messages.
