Are the HR20 remote codes for new hardware updated via the HR20 firmware, remote firmware, or a combination of both?

If it requires updates to the remote, is there a return policy to get new code?

They don't.

The remotes are independent of the HR20.
The RC series remotes are not updatable.

The RC32/RC34 series are the most recent, and they have the latest code set.

Anything else... would require a new remote, when/if one is available.
And no, I don't think there is a "return policy" on the remotes due to codes for your AV devices not being there.

I believe the list in the HR20 is only reflective of the RC24, the original standard remote for the HR20.

To get the codes for the RC32 or RC34, you need to refer to the manual that came with it. Or the website that it references.

I don't have my manual handy, but I put the link in the review thread for the RC32

I never got a manual with my RC34. It never occurred to me that they would be posted at the web site. Thanks guys.
