I currently have whole home with two DVRs. I want to replace one DVR with an H25. Will I be able to record something to my DVR from the H25 or will I only be able to watch programs on my H25 that are on my DVR?

Also, I notice that the H25 has no ethernet port, but the "Connected Home Adapter" needs to connect to the H25 via the ethernet port in order for the whole home to work. I notice that the HDMI cable for the H25 says also has ethernet. So am I supposed to use only the HDMI cable? I'm confused as to how this will work. Thanks for the advice.

The 25 has an internal DECA for networking, so it doesn't [and can't] use the DECA external adapter.
As with the non DVRs, you can select something from the guide to be recorded on a DVR.

Oh okay. That makes sense. I bought my H25 used and it didn't come with the HDMI cable. Is it a special HDMI cable or will any work with it?
