I have a Pioneer Elite 810HD and Dish Network VOD test failed. The docs say it only does 1080i. It says it will find a compatible resolution, but what will that be and what are the advantages/disadvantages? Thank you.

It will output at what you have your receiver set to. Probably you have yours set to 1080i.

One of the chips in the receiver has always supported accepting all the 18 ATSC standards and converting to 1080I, 720P 480P, or 480I. 1080P24 is one of the standard values. What wasn't supported, at least until the Turbo upgrade, was outputing as 1080P24.
