It depends on your location, it may be a while before you can get one from D* but there are B&M stores like best buy & ultimate electronics that have them in stock
How long is the wait for the HD DVR?
I am planning to buy an HD LCD set during this upcoming holiday season. I see that there is still a waiting list for the HD DVR. Has there been any time estimate as to when this unit will become available?

Halsted in Springfield still has HR20's in stock, and has not run out of them for the western Massachusetts installations. Halsted is a Home Service Provider for NY, New England. I ordered today and was told to expect the HR20 by the end of the year. In the meantime, they are providing the HD and DVR boxes for free. Sweet!
