625 will add a $6 DVR fee the 722 also has the same DVR fee. The 722 is high definition so there will be a fee for HD programming and that depends on what you want to subscribe to.BabaLouie said:

How much will my bill go up if I replace it with a 625? With a 722?
HD package is $10 per month unless you sign up for HD Free for Life. In which case, subscription goes up only the $6 dvr fee.boba said:625 will add a $6 DVR fee the 722 also has the same DVR fee. HD package is HD for Life and adds HD versions of sd channels in packages (including most premiums). [email protected] is a different package (formerly known as Platinum package) with a mix of HD and sd channels. You have Blockbuster and HD packages confused.Michael P said:The "HD Package" is now known as Blockbuster and a few of the channels are SD.
All you need is "Free for All" (a 2-year commitment or $99 up front with no commitment). Free for All gives all the channels you sub to in what ever AT pack you have that have an HD version.
NOTE: Without Free for Life you would still get your locals in HD (Big 4 nets + PBS) and any premiums. FFL just adds the HD versions of the AT packs.
The former "HD Package", now Blockbuster is actually a bunch of niche networks, some that only come in HD (and one or two that are SD only but not in any AT pack). Since the name change it includes a subscription to Blockbuster that you cannot separate from the pack. They say it's "free" but if you never rented DVD's to begin with it's value to you is questionable.
The original "HD Package" added some of the same channels that are now in [email protected] plus all the HD channels from the AT packs. HD For life does not add channels such as Palladia for example. However before HD For Life the only way to get AT pack channels in HD was the "HD Pack"(Platinum) which added additional HD channels like Palladia and the doomed Voom channels.garys said:HD package is HD for Life and adds HD versions of sd channels in packages (including most premiums). I was around for all this, but OP is only dealing with current packages and I answered as such.Michael P said:The original "HD Package" added some of the same channels that are now in [email protected] plus all the HD channels from the AT packs. Along the way there were some short-lived packs like the metal packs (Silver, Gold), which were HD versions of the AT packs.
