I have mine in our bedroom and if I wake up during the night I can hear the fan, not very audible but I can hear it, not enough to keep me awake, my wife says she cannot hear it, one thing I did was change the daily update to 9am, the first night it updated at 3 am and it woke me up when it rebooted, mine is well ventilated but the fan seems to always run
