I have a used 4x8 powered directv switch similar to this one I think:

My questions are, which sat do I hook up to which input? I thought it didn't matter, but I see different volts on the inputs. Also, some of the outputs have a cap on them. Do I need to cap all of the outputs not in use?

I have an old directv dish that does not have the builtin switch. Its just the 3 separate LNBs. So can I just plug any of the wires into the switch?

Is this the standard 4x8 switch, or is this one older? I didn't realize the current ones were powered, but this isn't a problem as long as it works.
