I am a New York Islander fan (no cracks please!). So, on my old D* Tivo box, I just set up a wishlist for "Hockey + Islanders." I got my 722 DVR installed this week, and then set up a similar Dishpass.

It is catching the games as you would expect. However, the Center Ice listing for E* always have a "Upcoming game" listing for nine hours before the game. So, my DVR is now regarding two shows: the actual game and nine hours of bleeding empty space listed under "Upcoming game!"

Is there anyway around this?

Well, for tonight's game it lists

"Coming up: New York Islanders/New Jersey"

and then for the actual game:

"New York Islanders vs New Jersey"

I suppose the only option would be to include "Islanders vs" and "vs Islanders."

With the Angels that is exactly what I did given when you use Angels as a Dish Pass you get a ton of shows.

Sadly, I had no luck with that approach.

On the center ice channels, it is list like this:

Coming up: New York Islanders vs. New Jersey

New York Islander vs. New Jersey

In other words, the actual game has no words that are not all in the "coming up" message. Very, very frustrating.

My apologies if there is a newer thread on this topic, but I was searching for the solution to the same problem (using NHL Center Ice). On a weekly basis I have to manually skip the "Coming Up:" programming. If there was a non Dish Pass manner to ensure that I get all the games for the specific team I follow that would automagically skip the "Coming Up:" programming, I'm all ears.

I tried phoning Dish and the representative suggested I not use Dish Pass but instead enter a timer for each sporting event manually. That was not a palatable solution.

Finally, am I reading the 922 forum properly to see that Dish Pass won't even be an option were I to upgrade from my 622? Yuck.

Just for fun, I tried a DishPass for "Twins at".

It found the next three away games on FSN for the Twins, three instances of each.

Unfortunately, it seems to have picked the time delay, SD versions of the lowest channel/mapdown, even though the timer showed "preference HD".

Maybe it knows about blackouts?

When I do a search for Braves games, the HD versions do not show up. Actually, when I do a search for MLB Baseball, my RSN HD's aren't listed.
