How to watch OTA without satellite signal?
Please help! I lost satellite signal to all four of my receivers yesterday, including the HR10-250. After trouble-shooting on the phone w/ D*, they think it's a bad transponder, but I think it's awfully suspicious that it happened on the windiest day of the year here. Bad news is that they can't get someone out until Wednesday 11/1.
No big deal - I can still watch OTA on the HR10-250.
That makes up about 90% of out TV viewing except for ESPN and the Sunday Ticket/Superfan.
Everthing was cool last night as we were able to watch previously recorded show and even live TV via the OTA. This morning when I turned the until on, I got a flashing snowy screen which I have seen before so I reset the receiver by unplugging it. Now when I power it up it searching for satellite signal but I can go to the now playing list, etc. But when I try to hit Live TV it goes back to searching. So, I'm stuck in a loop.
Does anyone know of a way to use the HR10-250 as an OTA receiver/DVR without having satellite signal? Also, I don't think my season passes will record now as I can't even get into the To Do List.
