News Corp. will soon swap its controlling interest in DIRECTV to Liberty Media, according to published reports possibly as early as this week

Wall Street analysts have speculated that Liberty Media, run by cable veteran John Malone, will use DIRECTV to create a higher profile for its company-owned TV networks, such as Starz and QVC.

Will this controlling interest also affect the HD or DVR plans of D* Example drop the h2-20, or possibly a return to Tivo. what do you think

For the short term, it is going to have no effect.
AFter that, who knows.

But if you are counting on the DVR+ series to be dropped and a return of the TiVo software.... There are several other threads in the general discussion forum that go into all the different angles of speculations.
