my home internet connection maxes out at 1mbps for upload speed,
which is quite slow.... but that's the only speed available, unless I bump
it up to the top tier with 3mbps upload(which costs $120/month)

if I get a Sling Adapter for my 722k HD DVR and watch it via the
Android app on my smartphone while travelling overseas, how will
the picture quality look? (assuming I have decent 3G reception)

thanks!

Picture will probably be fine - but watch out or your going to be the next "victim" of an astromical phone bill because of use overseas.... (and you "victims" in this situation don't get much sympathy from me - you didn't "NEED" to watch / use data like that overseas)

I run just about at 1mb upload.... it is very good...on a baseball game you can see the detail in the count....I would love faster upload, but like you its a price jump I cant justify...3 homes in 3 states...I follow all my teams and am more than happy!
