Hr-20 Dead?????

I came home this evening and turned on my tv and HR20-700 only to find the guide working but no picture on any channel. Then I made the mistake of unplugging my HR20 hoping that would fix things. Now the blue power button light only comes on for a moment after plugging it back in and it is very dim. It never gives me the welcome screen and it acts dead after that. I do hear the HD working normally though. Any thoughts? It is only about 2 months old.

I understand also that Directv has to replace this for me right? I have many hours of TV shows on here that I am dying to see will they put the HD in my new unit they send me or can I?
