The Digital Optical Port coverplate fell off my HR-20. I can insert the cable but it does not lock in. I'm afraid the cable will eventually come out due to vibrations (and cats )

I believe this should be a warranty item since the unit is 14 days old.

Has anyone experience this problem? If so, any difficulties with D* CSRs?

Not the problem, but have had good luck with D* sending replacements, since they're a lease.

I had a HECK of a time getting my opto spdif connector into the hr20's toslink jack.

and once in, it was hard to get out.

it seems the toslink jack they use is not exactly the right size. so replacement or not, things won't change unless they source a better part.

(I used to work a bit with toslink devices, back when I used to tinker around with DAT decks and digital audio interfaces).

mine broke off and got stuck in the hole.. took me a while to figuire out why my audio wouldn't work.. I just threw it away, cable works just fine without it..

Yep, I have had the issue. I just plug it back in when it falls out...
