Got a little issue with my HR-20 maybe someone can help me with. I live in the Little Rock market and we just got local HD....I'm happy. However, if I change channels up and down, the locals ARE NOT in HD...if I punch in the channel I want then press enter...they ARE in HD???!!! In fact, if I change to a channel via the up/down button, it won't be in HD but when on the same channel I punch in the same channel number and press enter, it changes to HD.

Not as much of a problem as an issue, but still something I would like to clear up. BTW, it is an HR20-700 and has all the updates sent via satellite and has been continuously connected to the phone line.

Do you have hide duplicats selected? If not you will have both the SD version and HD version available.

Go to MENU – SETUP – DISPLAY and change the setting for “Guide HD Channels” to “Hide SD Duplicates”.

It is happening only on the HD locals...all other HD channels are fine. Not using a favorites list. Will check other suggestions after work.

Hey all,

Thanks for the help. It seems it was operator error all along. I did have my favorites set up to exclude channels I didn't get, so it was tuned to the SD channels and blocking the HD channels. I turned them around and all is good.

I appreciate the help with my blondness....
