I am interested in the HR 21 Pro. Is there a dealer in Denver metro who has one in stock?

For that price, I'd like to see and inspect one before I plunk down the plastic!

Thanks.

I have not seen one in my travels throughout the Denver area. AFAIK, the only source is online.

If the main reason you want one is the larger hard drive, you can get an HR22 at Costco for $169. It is, however, still a leased box while the HR21Pro is owned.

:) Thanks for your reply.

The main reason I want one is that it is the latest and greatest, it will fit better in my set-up (it is both wider and taller than the 21 or the 22) and it has multiple cooling fans. Ownership is not a prime consideration, as it will still be added to my protection plan.

I paid $1000 for #29 HD Tivo, so $600 for this beast is not that big of a stretch. But I'd still like to see one!

Unless you want / need the rear panel serial port, rear panel IR input, the fiber HDMI connection, or the rack mount ears, I wouldn't suggest going with the HR21 Pro over the other options. I have 3 HR21 Pro's, but I got them because I was integrating them with a Crestron control system and the rear panel ports make that much easier (and the serial port connection could be made to the normal HR21 with a USB to serial port adapter). I'm also planning on replacing my equipment cabinets with new cabinets with rack mount capabilities, so the rack mount ears will come in handy.

The cosmetics of the Pro are a bit nicer than the non-Pro model, but it's not that big a difference.

Besides, if you want the latest, wouldn't that be the HR22?

The HR 22 would be a replacement; the 21 Pro would be a Christmas present.
