DTV just sent me a replacement remote as I was having a helluva time getting the damm thing working with my receiver. After getting the remote, I deducted that the RF on the receiver went south.

How often or common is this. The receiver on my HR-21 is only less than 5 months old...

Please give the remote number RC???? and if RF doesn't work how about IR?.

Swithing to IR works. The minute I try to program and go back into RF mode, it becomes unresponsive.

What if remote rc #

this is ironic, i just had a problem with my white remote not working on the hr20 and edmund showed me how to change it to RF and works great now.

meanwhile dtv sent me a new remote that doesnt 'work' now since the IR is out on the hr20 oh well..it's an extra.
