I recently had a new dish and LNB installed on my HR 24 system. Everything is working fine and I am getting high test numbers on all the transponders on all three satellites (95+) but when I run the system test more often than not it tells me I have a satellite aiming problem. Does anyone know why this is happening. The weather is clear.

Try a red button reset on the HR24. Also, if you have another receiver handy, try plugging it into the coax and see if there are similar symptoms.

It would help if you gave the specific error code.

I did a reset on my receiver after the new dish and LNB were installed and everything seems to be working fine. It just seems to fail that satellite aiming test a lot.
That’s a good sign of failing tuner (s) on an HR24. Sooner or later it won’t even acquire satellite info correctly. This happened to my H24 to the point it was in and out on whether the signal would come in correctly. When one of my other receivers read a signal on the 99 degree satellite as 95, the H24 read it as 90 or something less.
