Hello,

I have 4 DVRs connected with Whole Home.

For some reason over the past week or so, the Playlist on my HR 24 is ordering my programs from A-Z for each DVR rather than A-Z for all programs. This is somewhat painful since I have to scroll through sets of programs for 4 DVRs. My other 3 DVRs (HR 22) are fine.

My Playlist now looks like this:
A-Z programs - DVR 1
A-Z programs - DVR 2
A-Z programs - DVR 3
A-Z programs - DVR 4

I would like to get it back to what if was in the past.
A-Z All programs (1 set/master list of all DVRs)

Might you have toggled on "Filter by Playlist" accidentally? IAE, try turning that off, or on then off.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried toggling, but it still has the whacky playlist sort order.

The firmware is 0x59E, Thursday 2/23
SWM Firmware 2.0.24

I thought maybe the kids or wife hit a series of buttons on the remote to cause this, but who knows.

I want to say, but can't 100% for sure, that it was 59e that had the issue. Right now 5CD is out there and that does not have the issue so it shouldn't be too much longer that you have to wait.

Thanks for the response. I don't have a problem waiting. I just hope it gets fixed in the update. If not, I guess I will give DTV a call.

Trying to learn more about this, I unplugged a wire or two. Got a shock, as before I did this, there was also an unidentified sitting object on my system, an unnamed device in the wired section of my report. Zounds! I muttered to myself....

After a bit of further testing and rebooting the nomad, it turned out it was in fact that, which sometimes shows up named in the report, sometimes not. I have a Netgear 3400, and cannot seem to name anything, so I've given my receivers numbers based on their model numbers.

2.) Thought there was.
3.) Wondered if I'd missed it before, or if new software made it show up.
4.) Rebooted nomad and it ID'ed itself.
5.) That mystery solved.

7.) Wondered aloud why I couldn't get my Netgear router to accept names for fixed IP's.

Ummm, well for one I have been paying attention and second I wasn't whining or being rude. Maybe you should relax and possibly even read this thread again from the beginning.

I was asking what your procedure (you're the only one who brought it up), where you're trying to get every device ID'd, has anything to do with the OP's issue of everything in his playlist is sorted by DVR then A-Z. Those are 2 completely different issues.

Now I do know there's another thread on here somewhere that someone posted about coming across something on their network that didn't get an ID. Perhaps you meant to post in that thread??

DVRs are:
HR24-500 running version x59e
HR24-100 running version x59e
2 HR22-100 both running version x5cd

Hope they correct this soon, it is very annoying.
Reboots don't seem to correct it.

Same here. Reboots haven't done anything. Playlist was fine up until the last week or so, then bam. Thinking of doing a reset defaults.

Reboots and resets won't do anything, it's in the firmware! Save yourself some stress and just wait for the update that fixes the issue or you'll drive yourself nuts.
