HR-34 & AM21

I had an HR-34 installed Sunday and have an AM21 connected to it and when I shut the receiver off the AM21 stays on. Is there anyway to get this to turn off with the receiver?

It always has power running through it as it's daisy chained to the receiver. I think that all that really happens when you put the receiver in standby is that it turns out the light off on the AM21. My HR21 and 22 work like that. If it really bothers you, place some black tape over the light. :)
It doesn't turn off the power light on the AM-21 though, mine is the same way. It's actually an AM-21N though. I have a regular AM-21 and this isn't an issue with that one, its light turns off when the unit it is connected to is put into standby.
It's a known issue that the light doesn't go off in some cases. I would suggest black tape as Go Beavs pointed out, or red nail polish.

Red nailpolish?

Ummm, no... Red + Blue = Purple.
Glad to see its a known issue.
Have duplicated the problem with an AM21 and AM21N.
All I know from my childhood of school lunches... Yellow + Blue = Green! :)
Yes, red and blue make purple. But it does a fairly good job. Burnt orange nail polish would be the spectral opposite of blue but it wouldn't look as good in daylight.

Actually not under these conditions. I read an interesting article explaining that LIGHT (as from an LED) and PAINT (as from nail polish) are totally different than mixing red and blue paint. Something to do with "additive and subtractative" colors. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_does_blue_and_red_make_purple_in_paint_but_not_with_light

Bottom line is that it makes it dark so that works. :) Frankly I find electrical tape or a sharpie works best.
