HR-34 and alternate remote settings

Just got my HR-34 installed. Thanks for all the pricing advice [I wasn't undercontract and paid $219.50 for HR34 and installation/SWM/etc]

My question is I don't see where I can change the DVR to respond to the AV1 commands instead of DirectV as my other receiver was configured.

Am I missing the setting somewhere or is this feature not supported?

It should be in Setup > Remote Setup > Advanced Setup.

Thanks. But it is not there.... Perhaps I have old sw

I don't know when it was added (if it was), but it's been there for years.

Actually, you're not changing the DVR, but the remote.
Wander through the remote setup menu in the DVR, and you should find the option for programing AV1 & AV2.

1. AV1 or AV2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 0 0 0 0 1
4. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
5. enter 9 6 1
6. press CH down
7. press SELECT
