Have a HR10-250.Seems to be hanging onto one channel when I change channels.
When I change channels 3 times the info banner shows it's still on the first channel?

Hard reboot help? Or call D* and get a HR2x.
Appreciate the response.I probably did not word it right.Let me try again.

I 've never had a DirecTivo before.I don't have a HDTV.I bought this DVR and plan to use it to view/record SD programming.I downloaded the Owner's Manual (188 pages) and am trying to do the DLB thing. I feel I'm not doing something right or that part of this DVR doesn't work, everything else does.:)

So anyways that's what's happening I do a DVR reset and info shows it's on 1 channel, then I can change channels and that works, but when I go to a 3rd channel info shows it's still on the first.Like I said I'm probably doing something wrong.

Maybe you are switching back and forth between buffers (using the down arrow) and one of the buffers has stayed on the original channel through the entire process.

You do have two cables run to the receiver, correct?
Yes and Yes.:)

The only way I can change the original buffer is to go to a channel I want,do a reset, then that channel will be the original.Do you have to pause first to make it work?.

Update:Now this morning the channel listed to switch to in info was the channel we watched the most last night.Software is 6.3f.
Also found out that by going to Test Satellite Signal I can get 1 channel back on both tuners. So I feel I'm just doing something wrong or it's software anyways I'm having fun with this DVR.:)

Found this solution on the Internet thank God for it.This solution is not in the 188 pages of the HR10-250 Owner's Manual. At least I could not find it,here is the solution:

Change to a channel you want(You are on the First Tuner) then press the Down Arrow(You are now on the Second Tuner) set channel desired. Now you can jump back between both tuners with the Down Arrow.;) :sure: :D

Update: Yes it's in the manual pages 48, 83&84.But it's worded in a way I could not grasp what I needed to do_Oh well that's what happens when your only half geek!.;)
