I have seen people just use a short piece of coax with most of the outer hjacket and sheilding stripped to the center wire.
HR10 to HR20 swap, missing accessories
I recently retired my HR10-250 and received an HR20 (kind of surprised, I wanted OTA too!) that was a refurb (not surprised at all here, was expecting a refurb).
Problem is that they didn't include the B Band converters. I figured since most HR2x swaps are probably for other HR2x installations which already had B Band in place, they don't include them?? I called CSR and there was no problem shipping out the two converters, just will take a few more days to the the MPEG4 channels.
Also the HR20 is a model 100 that uses an external RF remote antenna (my other HR20 is the model 700 with the built in antenna). They included an RF capable remote, but not the RF remote antenna for the HR20. When I called CSR for this one, they indicated the only way to get the external RF remote antenna was to order a package of RF remote and antenna for $29. Has anyone had any luck getting just the RF remote antenna by itself? Looks like a modified "coat hanger" will do fine in a pinch :lol:
