Yes, have gone throught them, still can seem to get wmp 11 part working, can't see anything on my hr-20

201reyes, if you havent been already , then welcome to the forum

I personally dont run Vista. HOWEVER, based on the experience of others in here, it seems as though there are some firewall issues that need to be addressed.

My line of troubleshooting would be to temporarily disable your firewall and see if things get working. Then turn it back on. When things stop working, we know thats the issue, and we just have to determine how to safemark the HR20/bridge to the Vista firewall.

If it still doesnt work after disabling the firewall, then we have completed one troubleshooting step and can try other things.

Meanwhile, have you (or would you be willing to) considered any other type of media server? Some people just experience problems in general with WMP 11.

Well, I am running ORB as i constantly access Vista Media Center from my Wing while away from home. So, after a few reboots to the comp, router, hr-20, i am finally able to see pics and even vids (albeit only from the .dvr-ms recordings off comp), no mp3's yet or other videos (avi, etc), so it's a start. Still trying to tweak it, i did try the tveristy, but had probs w/ it, so removed it, for now. will reread info on it and probably reinstall it. thanks for the info. weird thing is that at first, the hr-20 showed up in the network, but no access to pc, now, it's not appearing in the network, but i have pc access from it.
