Hi, for as long as I have had my HR20-700 dvr, the remote control responds too quickly. I was hoping that some of the firmware upgrades would solve the problem, but it has not. This occurs when using the orginal directtv remote or my Harmoney remote. Adjusting the delay on the harmony remote helped a little bit, but it still is a problem. Even with the directtv remote, accessing the menu or changing channels is a real challenge, it does it so quickly. any suggestions??
Thanks

I'm not sure I understand.

How can it happen too quickly? The quickest possible would be instantaneous of when you press the button. That's the way most would prefer it. Is yours instantaneous and you don't like it?

sorry I didnt make my problem clear.
For instants: when typing in 241 to change channel to 241, it sometimes will put in 22441 or 24411 or any crazy combination. when scrolling thru the menu or guide, pushing the button the scroll thru the pages, one push will advance the guide pages by two or three instead of one. The unit responds as if i were pressing the button several times. I do not have this issue with my other HR20-100.
Thanks

I've had similar problems with unwanted multiple button presses. However, this was in RF Mode. But, it seems that because you are having this issue with the Harmony, as well, I assume that this occurs in IR.

You could try obscuring the IR eye of your HD DVR by placing a piece of scotch tape or maybe even some electrical tape with a small hole punched into it. Hopefully, this will counteract the sensitivity of the IR reception of the HD DVR. So, when you press "241" you will only get that instead of some other combination.

I've had same problem. It seems to be worse with some releases more then others. This latest release is having some real problems with doubling up 1 key press. It can get frustrating. I do have mine on RF, so that could be my problem.
