The only time I encountered that problem was when I had lost the signal on the SAT2 feed. Do you know if you had a signal on both SAT1 and SAT2?I.M. Nobody said:

Last night I set the receiver to record 2 shows, Heros and Justice. I watched Heros while it recorded. At the first commercial I opened the guide and found that it was not recording Justice. I tried to record it by pushing the record button but it would not record. I tried another channel but it said there was a conflict.
Has anyone else had this problem did I do something wrong? This is the first Problem I'v had with recording.

This is what I think is happening, heres the setup. Recorded Heroes and and show for my girl @ 9pm est, these shows when I went to play back where 1hour and 1min long. I had CSI Miami set for 10pm, since these shows at 9 went 1min long it did not start to record CSI. Why would they go 1min over if setup to start ontime and finish ontime????Is this Directv or local stations??? I cant set to finish 1min early,so whats the deal?
If both Heroes and My Girl went beyond 10pm est, you should have gotten a conflict message about the CSI recording.gashog301 said:This is what I think is happening, heres the setup. The networks (ABC & NBC in particular) have started running some of their shows until one minute after the hour. This tactic is a real pain to DVR users.
