I had suspended my DirecTV service back in February to try and save some money. At the time, I was pretty active in the CE process and keeping up-to-date on the latest features and changes with each national release. I have been using a Tivo HD for the last six months, and just recently unsuspended my DirecTV account. (Side note - I actually find that I prefer the HR20 to the Tivo. And this is after using the Tivo exclusively for the last 6 months.)
After turning the HR20 back on and getting the latest release (0x254), I realized I am out of the loop and don't really know what a lot of the new features, etc. are. I thought that back in the day, there was a FAQ or tips and tricks thread so you knew what hidden gems there were. Where did it go? Where does everyone go now to find out how to use the new features (like the boolean search expressions)? What's going on with DoD now? Do you just use the release notes for each release? Is there an archive of the release notes that I have missed from February to now so I can catch up?
After coming back, I didn't realize how much effort it took to "keep up" with what was changing and being added.
Thanks for any threads you can't point me to. I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for.
