I have never had a DVR before. I don't have a HDtv yet but signed up for the HD deal anyways. My question is how will it hook up to my tv for different tunners? Will I have to have 2 different inputs to my tv or what? I saw somewhere that these recievers dont have PIP so how else would you be able to switch to the other tuner to watch something different if you were already recording something with the other tuner?

You need 2 coax runs from the Dish to the DVR, and just one connection (HDMI or component) to the HDTV.

If you have more than just that one unit, they will most likely install a multiswitch between the dish and the endpoint at your DVR.

You can watch 1 channel and record another at the same time, or else record 2 channels at the same time. Recoding can be set even with the HDTV turned off completely.

Enjoy.:)
