Is anyone else getting a turn on/off thump from their subwoofer when the HR20 is powered up/down? I have had this since day-one (shortly after release) with the HR20. I am using HDMI connection to a Denon 5805 receiver for both audio and video. The thump is not loud enough for sub damage, or to be that much nuisance for that matter, but is unique to the HR20 connection.

No sub thump here. My HR20 is connected to my Onkyo via optical digital cable and is quiet as a mouse when it is put on standy by. No audio quirks whatsoever. Try changing out your HDMI cable.

There appears to be a wide variance in how different decoders deal with digital audio stream startup and droppage. Based on my experience with other boxes that have digital outputs, that are also software upgradeable, I have seen that behavior change based on code updates. It could be that your Dennon just does that when it starts seeing the stream or a state change. If you have a different vendors decoder around try plugging it in and see what happens. You also might try switching to using the spdif connection to see if you have the same issue.
