This is a reply to my own post. I found the answer elsewhere so no longer need help for this.
HR20 & Vizio
I just got the HR20 and I am trying to get the remote to work my Vizio tv. I have the codes (at least I think I do!) that I want to try. My question is "How do I set these codes manually?" The only option I can see is to scan or to choose a particular brand of tv and vizio isn't one of them.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So why not share your solution ??? THis is what posting is all about so we can all learn.
the solution is in the the vizio quick setup poster that comes with the lcd.Kirkman said:So why not share your solution ??? THis is what posting is all about so we can all learn.
On the poster it will list the codes to use for various types of cable boxes and dtv remotes based on how many digits it requires (DTV is 5 )
So all you need to do is look at this poster and it will have like 6 numbers to try if your box does not list vizio.
