HR20 Wish list ( suggestions for now or next model)

Is there a thread for wish lists of things the HR20 doesnt have to do?
Here a few quickies that come to mind for me:

1. get rid of stupid blue LED lights on front panel and add a 3 or 4 digit
alphanumeric LED readout that shows things like tuned channel number
or PLAY or REC or PAUS etc.
2. change the guide to show the actual duration of the movie, like 113 min
instead of the start stop blocks which are always more.
3. add user preference padding to record start and stop times ( I couldnt
find this anywhere)
4. change the user settings to add a "native" aspect ratio setting so that
4x3 programs are output as 4x3 and 16x9 programs are output as 16x9
instead of having to choose one or the other all the time.
5. Change record LED from yellow to red if #1 is not implented.
6. Add quick restart from beginning playback option on previously recorded shows( I couldnt find this)
7. More to come....I have only been using this a few weeks so far.....

Can you elaborate on #3

#5 - That used to be how it was on the R15... but enough user feedback about the "bright red light", they changed it to Yellow

For #6
Once you start playback... hold the "jump back" button for 3 seconds, it will take you back to the start. (Hold the forward advance/30s SLIP, 3 seconds to jump to the end)

So you want them to wait for the next hardware version?
Or will it be okay if they fix it in the next release...

hi, regarding number 3, I want to add 2 minutes prior and 2 minutes post to all my recordings, and I would like that to be only have to be set once. I couldnt find a way to set that. does it already exist? Thanks in advance...

we have had 14 release to date with no fix for them so I have low expectations for the next release. Based on prior performance of the HR20, I was just thinking that they might want to have those features in the next version requirements.

HI, Sorry, I should have been more clear about this at the start of the thread.
I am not talking about bugs or glitches here, I am talking about changes
to the design of the hardware or software I would like to see done. Of
course I would want everything current or in the future be working properly,
that goes without saying.

I understood. I think that D* missed those requirements on this first product release, maybe they should be considered for future products.

Just did, it seems most of my suggestions arent on the list. I think some of
them should be added especially very basics like the channel number tuned front panel readout thingy.
