HR21-200, Intermittent tuner problem

I've got a three week old HR21-200. Tuner 1 is crapping out on a daily basis with the signal meter reporting zeros across the board on all sat's with 771's on all affected channels. Happens at least once a day on average; a receiver reset always restores the signal to normal levels and it'll be fine until, it isn't.

D*'s sending out a replacement unit but I was just curious if anyone else had encountered this?

What happens if you swap the two satellite input cables? Does the problem move to Tuner 2? If the problem moves to Tuner 2, then it's not the DVR's problem but rather a problem with the signal on that cable from the dish. If the problem stays on Tuner 1, then it's probably the DVR. Also be sure to swap those cables with and without swapping the B-Band Converter (BBC) module to rule out a defective BBC.

The cables are fine, it's only occurring on Tuner 1. I had tried connecting without a BBC... same deal. It's definitely an issue that's related to the receiver's numer 1 tuner.

When I reset it, it works just fine with both tuners reporting similar signal levels. The mystery for me is what might be causing Tuner 1 to go out on a semi regular basis.

Thanks litzdog911:)
im having the exact same problem on mine...i just got the box a month ago and tuner 1 gives me that same problem of not getting any signal then i reset the box and it goes back to normal. I think i will have to call and get a replacement also...since it already happend 3 times
I'm moving this to the HD DVR forum.
I am having the same problem, but it is with tuner 2. I just got the box today and it has already happened 3 times. When it is working all my signals are in the 90's.
