Please excuse me if this is a common topic, but I am new to the HR* world and noticed that a recording on my "To do" list did not record. This is a new receiver with only a couple things on it so far and nothing else was queued up to record. I got the confirmation that it was added to the "To do", the orange "R" was added tot he menu and yet nothing happened when the moment of truth arrived.

Does anyone know what causes this and possibly how to avoid it in the future?

What settings did you have for the recording?
If it was "first run only", and it was a repeat, then it would do what it did.

I just accepted the default settings. It was a baseball game, so I doubt it would show up as a repeat or series.

Sports programs can be a bit different than "regular programing". They can be blacked out at any time and the to do list will show "program no longer available".

What explanation did you get in HISTORY, under the MANAGE RECORDINGS menu?
